The 2024 China ASEAN Education Exchange Week, held in Guiyang on August 21, 2024, was used by HEE and Guizhou Industrial Vocational and Technical College to jointly demonstrate the achievements and forward-looking layout in the field of green energy and intelligent education.

In a nutshell, a consortium led by HEE and the vocational college build up a modern research and manufacturing base that empowers the vocational college to conduct world-leading teaching and research activities.
The cooperation includes a teaching-workshop with large 3D printing equipment, resin-transformer molding machines (RTM) and corresponding AI-based design software. The whole facility is designed as a low-carbon facility so that teaching, research and production can be conducted entirely with renewable energy. For this purpose, 2.2 MW PV and an Energy Management System have been installed.

The curriculum of the university has also been upgraded to include artificial intelligence in manufacturing settings in its courses.
In the near future, the parties intend to include hydrogen production, storage and usage via a stationary fuel cell system in its low-carbon solution for the facility.
Through this very comprehensive green energy setup on the school campus, the vocational school can offer its students hands on teaching regarding renewable energy, energy management concept and systems, and the whole green hydrogen chain.
Fortunately, the cooperation has caught significant attention in China and other Asian countries. To further build on this momentum, HEE, Guizhou Industrial Vocational and Technical College, and Asahi Thai Alloy Co., Ltd from Thailand signed a tripartite agreement to jointly promote the school enterprise cooperation model. The aim is to provide similar solutions throughout Southeast Asia with a focus on Thailand.
This cooperation is not only a positive exploration and practice of green and intelligent education, but also an important contribution to empowering vocational education with new quality productivity. Through the implementation and promotion of the project, we have jointly promoted the deep integration of vocational education and industrial development, providing strong support for cultivating high-quality skilled talents that meet the needs of the new era.
